Up To Speed Program

MyGlobalClassroom’s "Up to Speed" Program is dedicated to ensuring that licensed K-12 teachers (tutors) have the opportunity to visit the homes of chronically ill children. The aim is simple but profound: we want to ensure that these children do not fall behind in their education as a result of their illnesses. We firmly believe that education is a fundamental right, and every child, regardless of their circumstances, should have the chance to thrive academically.
Our dedicated team of volunteer teachers is committed to making a difference in the lives of these young students. They generously contribute their time, knowledge, and expertise to provide personalized education and support to each child. However, while our teachers volunteer their services, we still have essential expenses to cover. These expenses include travel costs for our teachers to reach the homes of these children, as well as providing necessary educational materials to enhance the learning experience.
We are excited to announce that we have made a three-year commitment to run this program, which will enable us to serve approximately 300 students, most of whom are located in Los Angeles County. Our vision extends beyond these initial years, with plans to expand our reach to other areas of California and, eventually, across the United States. We believe that every child should have access to quality education, no matter where they live or what challenges they face.
